‘Australian Story – stories of courage, determination & love’ Design for book cover for Harper Collins.

Print and video campaign for promoting maths in schools, based on a collection of diverse career profiles. The project consisted of a set of 12 posters, a booklet, a website with 12 video profile clips.
Produced by Chrissie McIntyre of Little Blue Dot Productions, editing by Feral Hammo and the print materials featuring the photography of David Paul of DPI Images.

FRENCHBAKER designed the format for the campaign and produced the print and animated stings for the video segments. We were assisted by the marvellous Vanessa Robinson.

This project was an initiative by The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), and The International Centre of Excellence for Education in Mathematics (ICE-EM) based in Melbourne.

STOP PRESS: 18 JAN 2012 Snow on Mars has been awarded the Sydney Theatre Critics’ Award
Best Presentation for Children.

This was an aerial theatre show devised for Sydney Festival 2011 by Kim Carpenter’s Theatre of Image,
Directed by Gale Edwards and written by Richard Tulloch.

Frenchbaker produced the video and animated projections, with some sequences choreographed by
Rowan Marchingo, to be interactive with the performers.
We built our own version of the International Space Station – our main inspiration being from yakult bottles!
Stop motion techniques were used for the ‘Nancy Bird’ sequence which involved a paper plane soaring
through the air and transforming into a biplane.

The Cooks River to Iron Cove GreenWay is an urban green corridor in Sydney’s Inner West, following the route of the Rozelle to Dulwich Hill freight rail corridor (currently being converted to light rail passenger service) and connecting two of Sydney’s most important waterways, the Cooks River and Iron Cove Bay, part of Sydney Harbour.
